Runtime errors are commonly called referred to as bugs and are often found during the debugging process before the software is released. Yes you have control points, as their name suggests, control points, you can't mask them out. You can't tweak the colours in Colour effex the way you can in restyle. The runtime error might be caused by a bug that hasn't yet been patched in the release that you're using. Well there is a kind of masking in Color Efex through control points. You can't do that with Nik colour effex, wich is also very good in it's own way but topaz restyle is completely different. You can fine tune the colours in 5 ways and mask out anything you don't want to be coloured. So next time you're staring at an image after making some minor adjustments and it's just not quite there, try using ReStyle to jump-start your creativity. I've downloaded the OnOne free presets but hardly ever use them (which really doesn't mean anything I know). But Topaz ReStyle is different it gets you results that you wouldn't have thought of otherwise. ![]() I've been a Topaz user longer than Nik so I sort of feel like supporting them. Topaz claims that ReStyle works differently than other software. ![]() As I'm sure you've found out, getting to know software like this takes a lot of time and experimenting. Does it offer much or anything that Nik Color Efex or OnOne Perfect Effecs can't offer, as I already have both of those and a whole bunch of downloaded presets for them?
